Accessibility statement
Last updated: 17 September 2026
We want everyone to be able to use rslquantum.com, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, screen magnification or voice control.
Our target
We aim for the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. The site has not yet had an accessibility audit or been tested with a range of assistive technologies, so we do not claim that it conforms. The limitations we know of are listed below.
What the site does
- Pages use headings and landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer.
- A “Skip to main content” link appears first when you press Tab on any page with the main menu.
- Form fields have labels that screen readers announce, and links in running text are underlined.
- Most controls show keyboard focus with a visible outline; form fields show it with a darker border.
- Pages fit narrow screens and can be zoomed.
- Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- The language of each page is set to English.
Known limitations
- Book reader and book PDFs
- The Quantum Bazaar book reader under /read shows each page as an image. Screen readers announce the page number but not the story text. The book PDFs are made for print and are not tagged for screen readers.
- Movement and animation
- On the Book 1 coin playground, the coin floats and its digits pulse continuously, with no control to pause them. When your device asks for reduced motion, the coin stays still and the site turns off its animations and smooth scrolling, but page turns in the book reader still animate.
- Colour contrast
- Some small labels and links in copper on the cream background have a contrast ratio of about 4.4 to 1, just below the 4.5 to 1 that WCAG 2.1 AA asks for normal text.
- Email updates bar
- On most pages an email updates bar appears at the bottom of the screen after 60 seconds. It can cover the bottom of the page until you close it or sign up.
- Bot check on forms
- Forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated submissions. It usually needs no action, but if it asks for a check you cannot complete, email us instead.
- Content from other services
- Links to Amazon, LinkedIn, GitHub and outside AI assistants open services we do not control, and we cannot change how accessible they are.
Report a problem or ask for another format
If something on the site does not work for you, or you need information from a page in another format, email info@rslquantum.com with the subject “Accessibility”. Please tell us:
- the address of the page;
- what you were trying to do and what went wrong;
- the device, browser and any assistive technology you use.
We aim to reply within two working days.
