CDAC FDP on Quantum Computing - register by 05 June 2026
A 10-day online faculty development programme on Principles and Applications of Quantum Computing runs 08-18 June 2026, organised by IIT Mandi, NIT Surat, CDAC Bangalore and partners. Registration closes 05 June 2026.
The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) Bangalore, in partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat, Pantech Solutions, DigiToad and Qclairvoyance, is running a 10-day online Faculty Development Programme titled Principles and Applications of Quantum Computing from 08 to 18 June 2026. Registration closes on 05 June 2026 - eight days from today.
Why this matters for India
The National Quantum Mission needs faculty across India who can teach the Qiskit / circuit-composer / transpiler / error-correction stack and who can supervise students on Quantum Machine Learning and hybrid quantum - classical workloads. A 10-day, low-cost online FDP that takes faculty from “I have read about quantum” to “I can run a Hands-On with Qniverse and reason about GPU/FPGA quantum accelerators” is precisely the kind of capacity-building programme that converts curriculum on paper into trained students two semesters later.
Curriculum highlights (publicly listed)
- Qiskit circuit composer and transpiler
- Quantum error correction fundamentals
- Quantum Machine Learning, hybrid models
- GPU and FPGA-based quantum accelerators
- Hands-on lab on Qniverse
Who should consider it
If you supervise final-year B.Tech or M.Tech projects in computing, physics, or electronics, this FDP is the cheapest available on-ramp into the quantum software stack - and the certificate is recognised by participating institutions for AICTE FDP credits.
How to register
The official registration link is hosted by the organising institutes; search “CDAC FDP Principles and Applications of Quantum Computing June 2026” or contact the organising team at IIT Mandi or NIT Surat. Please verify all dates and contact details against the organising institutes’ notifications before applying - this pulse summarises a publicly announced programme but does not host the official registration form.
Why we are publishing this
RSL Quantum’s Quantum, A to Z registry covers papers, patents and companies. Capacity-building programmes are part of the same picture - without trained faculty the rest does not scale. We will keep flagging time-sensitive programmes like this one on the Quanta Pulse feed when their deadlines fall inside a 30-day window.
Editorial note. Quanta Pulse is drafted with the help of a large language model and reviewed by the RSL Quantum team before publish.
